There are many reasons to like Andre White a.k.a. Charlie.Rose.

Straight out of Norfolk, Virginia, he’s hard to find in the vast and unrelenting forest of lyrical Joe Shmoes. But experiencing his music gives you a feeling similar to that sweet satisfaction you get when you find a needle in a haystack. You know, if you ever actually played that game.
He has an energetic flow with a snappy, upbeat voice to match. His beats give you an irresistible urge to tap your feet and, after playing his new concept album iHateYouCharlieRose on repeat a few times like I have, you find yourself singing the sampled hooks to yourself in your head while going about your every day business.

This six-track long concept album follows the emcee as he pursues contact with an old flame who is apparently residing in Manhattan, as you can gather in the intro. Throughout the rest of the introduction, the theme of the album comes to light.
“…I know you said the- I know the last time we spoke you said, ‘I hate you,’ and that cut deep but lately all I’ve been wanting is more of you. I-I just want more of you.”

So give him a listen below. It’s well worth it, and definitely a good addition to any hip-hop head’s collection.
