Underground Spotlight: Huxly

This time around on Underground Spotlight, I’ve got something a little different for y’all. Huxly is a Portland based trio comprised of Waseem, Prime, and HiFi, just a group of dudes seemingly tired of the lack of content and positiveness in mainstream Hip Hop who are set out to change that one track at a time. The track I have for you today is their newest, “Con Science”. Here’s a few words from the guys themselves:

Con Science is a song inspired by the seemingly constant struggle to choose between right and wrong in everyday life. A typical Huxly track is a reflection of a collective consciousness and a product of the trio’s surroundings. Through a constant strive to write relevant lyrics and music that can be widely relate-able, Huxly hopes to create an experience appealing to a wider audience than just hip-hop fans.  Con Science is no exception, providing a true representation of ourselves as artists.

That’s a mission statement I can get behind for sure. I’m excited to see what these guys pump out in the years to come, and i’m sure you’ll be seeing more tracks of theirs on the D.o.D. so stay tuned. For now, peep the track down south and hit the guys from Huxly up on Facebook or their website to stay up to date.
